Hello, I am Levi Connelly

What I do

Teaching Assistant

I've helped teach classes and write coursework for many classes including Microsoft & Google Services, Python Programming, Java Programming, and Database Design & Architecture. I love teaching students and helping them understand complex topics.

Software Engineer

I currently work as a Software Engineer in Test for Orchard Software. I have experience learning how to work with new tools and collaborate in groups to accomplish tasks. Being a teaching assitant for Java was helpful as that's the language we mainly use.

Research Assistant

I'm currently a research assitant for CyberWater, a project funded by the National Science Foundation geared towards reducing the user time and effort needed for hydrologic modeling studies, where I specialized in developing automated tests.

Who I am

Designer & developer based out of Muncie

I grew up in Elwood before moving to Muncie in 2017 to attend Ball State University. While at Ball State, I took a dive into Computer Science and found that it was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I love solving problems and building things from scratch.

I currently work as a Software Engineer in Test for Orchard Software in Carmel, Indiana. I love my job, and I love the community surrounding it.

In my free time outside of work I play guitar and online games with my friends. I've been playing guitar since I was eight years old and I haven't dropped it since. Music runs in my family. My grandfather still plays music and my uncle was a steel guitarist for Elvis Presley and Loretta Lynn.

Karl Mesarosh

Assistant Lecturer of Computer Science

Email: kemesarosh@bsu.edu

I met Karl when I first started attending Ball State University and took his Introduction to Computer Science class. I felt overwhelmed at first because I hadn't had much previous experience with programming, but Karl kept me motivated and helped me whenever I was struggling with concepts. It was the first class I had in college where I really got excited. A couple semesters later, I was a teaching assistant for that same course. If he hadn't instilled that passion for programming in me, I may not have stuck with the major, but it's because of him that I found a career path that I'm passionate about. I've continued my teaching assitant position with him, and I've taken an independent study with him on the Internet of Things where we worked with Arduino boards, Raspberry Pi's, and other fun contraptions.

Lan Lin

Associate Professor of Computer Science

Email: llin4@bsu.edu

Dr. Lin has always been a very helpful and kind professor. I met her when I took her Design and Analysis of Algorithms course. Somewhere halfway into the course she approached me and asked if I would work on her new NSF project called Cyberwater. I told her I didn't feel like I was qualified, but she insisted I was, so I took the position. Everyone else on the team loves the work that I've put in, and they're impressed with how much I've got done in such a relatively short amount of time as an undergraduate. She didn't tell me until roughly a year later that all of the other students working on the project were PhD students. Her belief in my talents and ability to push me to try harder has enabled me to accomplish things that I couldn't have ever seen myself doing two years prior. I am extremely thankful for her position in my education.
